Henry V

Smith Street Stage presents Henry V as its Fifteenth Anniversary production of the award winning Shakespeare in Carroll Park.

Performances run June 5-29 in Brooklynโ€™s Carroll Park, begin at 7:30 PM and are free. Join us for this timely story of leadership, collective endeavor, and the morally complicated sacrifices that are made in the name of nationhood.

McLean Peterson*

McLean Peterson (Henry) returns for her second summer at Smith Street Stage after playing the Princess of France in Love's Labor's Lost. Select Theatre: Carrie (TheatreZone) The Jury (A.R.T.) Angel Lu

Angel Lu (Gloucester/French Soldier) Smith Street Stage debut. Film: ร‰nouement (wrote, directed, produced, and starred; festival selected and finalist). Education: Drama BFA at NYU Tisch (Atlantic Acting School), Shakespeare Training at RADA. She is thrilled and deeply grateful to make her New York theater debut performing Shakespeare with Smith Street Stage!

Amara James Aja*

Vann Dukes

Vann Dukes (Boy) they,them - is elated to be back in Carroll Park for another production with Smith Street Stage after performing in Loveโ€™s Laborโ€™s Lost last summer. Other select credits include A Raisin in the Sun (The Public Theater), Time and Time Again (The Chain) and a new upcoming web series, โ€œMan-Hating Lesbiansโ€. Vann is a resident actor at Mercury Store in Gowanus, BK and a Breaking the Binary Theatre artist. Their career would not be possible without the support of their parents, family and friends. And to tyler, I love you I love you I love you <3.

Bobbie Edmunds

Bobbie Edmunds (Hostess/Westmorland/Governor) (she/they) is an actor and theatre-maker based in Brooklyn, NY and hailing from Richmond, VA. She trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in both the Meisner and Classical studios, where she found her love for Shakespeare. After graduating mid Covid lockdown, she sat in her house watching a lot of TV, and eventually found her way back to the stage in NYC at places like The Brick and The Tank. She is thrilled to be working with Smith Street Stage and this wonderful group of actors!

Derek Chariton*

This is Derek Charitonโ€™s first show with Smith Street Stage and he couldnโ€™t be more excited to jump into the magic of Summertime Shakespeare with them. Oliver Palmer*

This is Oliverโ€™s third play with Smith Street, other credits include Richard II and The Tempest where he designed the percussion. Off Broadway: This Land Was Made- Vineyard Theatre, Holy Ghosts- Theatre East, Regional: American Buffalo- Dorset Theater Festival. Film/TV: Upcoming Warner Brothers feature film, Power, Godfather of Harlem, FBI, Blue Bloods, Orange is the New Black, Daredevil. B.F.A. NYU Tisch Stella Adler/ Experimental Theatre Wing. Toni Kwadzogah*

Toni Kwadzogah (Ely/Williams) is appearing in her fourth Smith Street production. She was Assistant Director for Smith Street Stage's production of As You Like It. Previous credits include Escalus/M. Overdone in Smith Street Stageโ€™s Measure for Measure, Holly in Next Fall, Vera Stark in By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, and Karen in Speed-the-Plow.

Shayan Hooshmand

Shayan Hooshmand (Bardolph, Grey, Young Theatermakers Coordinator) is an actor and Artistic Director at The Elif Collective. He directed Elif's workshops of sleepless (2024) and Greenhouse (2023). As an actor, he played First Sheikh/Ali Baba/Others in 1001 Nights (Columbia SOTA, 2025), Aumerle in Richard II (Smith Street Stage, 2024) and Ferdinand/Caliban in The Tempest (Columbia SOTA, 2023). Shayan is so excited to be back at Smith Street Stage, and to perform outdoors, which is a simple cure for many ills.
